Let Me Introduce................ Our newest members of the Design Team

Evening all,

Well the weather certainly has turned here in the last couple of days and with the clocks going back last night those awful dark nights are now here :(

I am very excited to be writing this post as it's time to introduce the two newest members of the Design Team, they have dived straight in and I already have several cards to share with you but first let me start with the introductions......

Meet Christina..

"My name is Christina and I am so happy to have been selected to join Debbie's DT.
I created Card Making Magic almost 4 years ago now in an effort to help those new
to cardmaking build their confidence ...  and face that blank card.
It is my pride and joy and it seems to hit the spot.
I am on Facebook as Chrisitna Griffiths and also a  business page for Card Making Magic."

Please do stop by Christina's blog, you will find lots of inspiration, stunning cards along with lots of hints, tips & techniques!!

Meet Colette..

"My name is Colette, I live in Liverpool, am married to Eric and have two daughters Stacy and Meg, and a couple of grandsons Will and Charlie. My earliest memory of crafting is teaching myself to crochet from a book when I was about 10 years old, since then I've had a go at most things. Over the years I have done cross-stitching, flower arranging, cake decorating, making Faberge style eggs ( I ended up teaching a night class in this at a local college for a few years), scrap-booking, Pergamano and card making. About 8 years ago I discovered digital crafting and since then I haven't used anything else. All the papers and images I use on my cards these days are digital, I don't actually own any 'real' patterned papers - my papers, images and kits are stored on my 1 terrabyte hard drive, which is already three quarters full! - and I even colour digitally, in Photoshop. I really enjoy card making, I love colouring images and designing cards, but I also love the ready to print kits and always have a good supply on my hard drive, as you never know when you will need a card in a hurry!
I'm really looking forward to being part of the Paper Creator team, and working with their fabulous designs."

Over on Colette's blog you will find some of the most wonderful cards!

Please join me in welcoming both Christina & Colette :)

Just To Say.....

Evening all,

** DT CALL!!! - CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION **

I recently took delivery of my Spellbinder's Poinsettia Dies and wondered if I could find a way to use them other than to make Christmas Flowers!! I was planning on making my lovely Aunty a 'Just To Say' card and decided to print a couple extra backing papers off to have a little play.

Here are the dies as they come.....

And here is the wonderful flowers I was able to make from the dies!
Amazing how by just changes the colours of paper you use you can completely transform them and use all year round.

Now on to the card I made :)

This card was for my Aunty who has had a real bad year which has seen her rushed in and out of hospital umpteen times and at one point the family been told she would not make it through the night let along ever walk out of hospital again!! Well I am very pleased to say she proved them all wrong and fought through it all to finally now be at home, she is one tough cookie and we are all so extremely proud of her and the progress she has made. A true inspiration to us all so I put together this little card to let her know that she is always in our thoughts as we don't get the chance to see her that often. She was trilled with the card and now has it on full display :)

This totally adorable little bunny & papers are from The Clipart Fairy.
The flourish is a memory box die which I can not remember the name of  :(

Here is a close up of the flowers :)

All finished with my Cosmic Shimmer glues...

I love the way this card turned out and I am extremely pleased with my flowers!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Challenge - Show Me 95
Paper Play Challenges - Simply Cute
Crafty Mess Challenge - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts - Make Your Own Flowers
A Gem Of A Challenge - Flowers

A Sneak Peek..........

Evening all,

** DT CALL - Click here for more information **

Tonight's post is all about me having courage!!

For some time I have followed Sassy Cheryl's blogs and every Thursday look forward to the new 'Show Me' challenge although to date I have never taken part! Those of you not aware of this challenge well it is where you get the chance to be nosy and have a look at what people are up to - if there is one thing I love then it is been nosy LOL!!

Well this week I decided to take the plunge and finally enter the 'Show Me' challenge so I will be sharing with you a little sneak peek of how I go about my business designing new kits :)

My first picture is a screenshot of what I am working on in Photoshop - I pick the image I want to work with and then pick the papers I think go well with the image once that bit is out of the what I then duplicate the image I am working with to make my decoupage layers with...... Poor little Noah is getting chopped up and I feel so bad but when it's all complete, printed and made up it will be worth is as little Noah will become 3D... Smiles!!

My next pic is another screenshot but this time you can now see where I am going with the design... I am prepping all my layers and once I am happy with the overall look and layout I will transfer the layers over to blank A4 sized sheets ready to make in to a complete kit.

Well that's my first 'Show Me' post and I hope you enjoyed stopping by and reading :)

I would like to enter this is in the Sassy Cheryl 'Show Me' Thursday Challenge.
