Evening all,
Firstly I would like to wish all the mums amongst us a very 'Happy Mother's Day', I hope you were all spoilt and allowed to put your feet up for the day :o)
Now I would like to share with you the card I made for my Mum........ Now this card is a first for many things!!
It's a first for using my Grand Calibur which I must say I have had for quite a few months now, a first for using dies, a first for making my own flowers and before I even say this I can already hear you all gasping with shock but this card is also the first one I have ever made for my Mum.... Yes I know what your all thinking :o)
I have been making cards for a few years now but being the most dis-organised person that I am I have always left it till the very last minute and then rushed to the shops to buy one.... I know I'm hanging my head in shame but this year I was determined to make my own and well here are the results....

I absolutely love it!! Yes I know I am bound to say that but this is the first one I have ever been truly proud off - big smiles!!
Here's a close up of the lovely flowers I made and to make them a little different I used beads for the centres.

The flowers were made using my Marianne Die - Chinese Roses LR0163 &
Marianne Die - English Roses LR0162. I added a little glitter to the centres along with some beads I purchased from a local craft shop.

The sentiment was a digi sentiment which I purchased from Pink Petticoat where I then used one of my grand nesties to cut it out.

This is a close up of the gorgeous butterfly - again this was made using a Marianne D die!
I cut 2 of the butterflies, one in each of the papers and layered then up :o)
One thing I have learnt from this making this card is that I love my Grand Calibur & Marianne D dies and can not wait to make more cards using them!!
I would like to enter my card in to the following challenges:
Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge - Add a Sentiment
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges - Someone Special

You should be proud - I think your card is gorgeous x
